Approach
IFS-informed

Some of what you carry is a wound you received. Some of it is a burden handed to you — a way of being that kept your family alive long before you arrived, still running now, though it isn’t keeping you alive so much as keeping you small.

Some of it was never yours. You’re carrying it anyway — and this is eight weeks of learning what can be set down.

We work with your family’s history, not a detailed account of your own hardest moments. We map three generations, name the rules nobody wrote down, and approach — gently, never forced — the parts still loyal to what they were handed, until you can set down what was never yours and keep what is.

The eight weeks

From what came with the furniture to what you pass on.

Week
1

Burdens that came with the furniture

A wound you got, versus a burden you were handed.
Practice
Which feelings in you seem to predate you?
Week
2

The family map

Three generations. Who was silent, who exploded, who disappeared.
Practice
Drawing your genogram.
Week
3

The rules nobody wrote down

‘We don’t talk about that. We don’t cry. We don’t need anyone.’
Practice
Hearing how strange yours sound, out loud.
Week
4

What was survived

War, famine, migration, addiction, loss.
Practice
What did your family need to become?
Week
5

The cost of the strategy

Silence saved them. Vigilance saved them. It’s still running — and it isn’t saving you.
Practice
Naming the strategy you inherited.
Week
6

The parts holding it

Usually loyal. Putting it down can feel like betrayal.
Practice
What does it fear would happen?
Week
7

Setting it down, carefully

Setting down what was never yours. Approached, named, never forced.
Practice
One small thing.
Week
8

What you pass on

The line stops or continues with you — chosen, not defaulted.
Practice
Yours to keep.
How payment works
$65 per person, per session
Paid in full at enrollment

Groups run out-of-network and privately. Paying in full at enrollment holds your place for the whole series — and lets the group form as a stable, closed circle: the same people, from beginning to end.

Refunds

A full refund if you withdraw before the first session. In the first two weeks, a prorated refund or a credit toward a future group. Once the group has formed, the remaining sessions aren’t refundable — the circle was built around your place in it — but if something serious comes up, talk to me and we’ll find a fair way through.

Superbill

A superbill is available for possible partial reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits. Whether a group qualifies depends on its nature, so it’s best to check with your insurance company.

Reserve your spot

Seats are limited to keep the group small and safe. Reach out — we’ll find out together whether this is the right next step for you, and there’s no pressure either way.
