The Gottman Method

Most couples report a real drop in closeness after a first baby. It isn’t a sign the relationship is failing — it’s one of the most predictable stretches in the life of a partnership, and almost no one is warned.

You didn’t grow apart. You had a baby — and this is six weeks of finding your way back to each other inside a life that no longer holds still.

We work in the small windows you actually have: six-minute conversations, repair when nobody has slept, and the assumptions that fill the silence when you stop talking. Nothing romantic — just real, and enough to find your way back to each other.

The six weeks

From what actually happened to the two of you, still.

Week
1

What actually happened

Roughly two-thirds of couples report a sharp drop in relationship satisfaction after a first baby. You’re not failing. You’re on schedule.
Practice
Saying the unsayable thing about this year.
Week
2

The invisible ledger

Who does what, who notices what needs doing, and why the second one is the real fight.
Practice
Mapping the mental load honestly. Both of you will be surprised.
Week
3

Talking when there’s no time

Six minutes, not a weekend away. Bids and turning toward when you’re both depleted.
Practice
The short version. Doing it here.
Week
4

Fighting tired

Softened startup and repair when nobody’s slept. Flooding at 3 a.m.
Practice
Your pause script, adapted for a house with a baby in it.
Week
5

Touch, sex, and the body that changed

The conversation almost nobody has, and the assumptions filling the silence.
Practice
Structured, gentle, specific.
Week
6

The two of you, still

Rituals that survive a newborn. Small, unromantic, real.
Practice
Building three.
How payment works
$65 per person · $95 per couple, per session
Paid in full at enrollment

Groups run out-of-network and privately. Paying in full at enrollment holds your place for the whole series — and lets the group form as a stable, closed circle: the same people, from beginning to end.

Refunds

A full refund if you withdraw before the first session. In the first two weeks, a prorated refund or a credit toward a future group. Once the group has formed, the remaining sessions aren’t refundable — the circle was built around your place in it — but if something serious comes up, talk to me and we’ll find a fair way through.

Superbill

A superbill is available for possible partial reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits. Whether a group qualifies depends on its nature, so it’s best to check with your insurance company.

Reserve your spot

Seats are limited to keep the group small and safe. Reach out — we’ll find out together whether this is the right next step for you, and there’s no pressure either way.
